Storybook Favorites
I really enjoyed getting to see the different assignments
that past students have done. It’s given me a lot of inspiration for what I
might want to do for my final project!
The first storybook that really caught my eye was the Fairy Tale World by Kendra Norman. I love everything Disney and especially Disney
princesses, so this story first caught my eye because of the title. After
reading through the introduction and some of the stories, I really enjoyed how
she split each princess into their own story,
It was interesting to see more about them while still tying in to the
whole storybook. The design of the book was pink and was perfect for the theme
of the story.
The next storyboard I found interesting was Dead Men Tell NoTales. I am a big fan of pirate stories (which, is what I thought this was) but when I
got the actual story I found that it was a collection of horror stories. After
reading through a few of them I really like what the author did by making each
story about a specific historical horror story characters. It was a really fun
read. The only think I found a little off putting was the layout of the
storybook. The design, while it fit the stories, wasn’t my favorite and the
layout made it hard to navigate the page.
-didn’t like the design
The last storybook I really enjoyed was As Told By Tink:Stories of Neverland. I really liked this story because it was a different take
on the classic Peter Pan story. When you first get to the page, there is a map
layout of Neverland. I thought that this was a great picture to not only set
the scene but to help the reader understand where everything is happening. This
also went into how they organized their story by location. Overall I really
enjoyed the story and loved the layout.
